Almost fifty guest speakers, many of them Lewis Central graduates, shared their personal stories with student advisory groups. Mr. McComas graduated from the University of Iowa with a psychology degree in 2008. He currently works as a Community Support Specialist for Lutheran Family Services.  READ MORE...
Lewis Central Graduation Rates Are Above State Average

The Iowa Department of Education reported the Lewis Central Community School District had an improved 2013 graduation rate that also was higher than the state average.Joel Beyenhof, principal at Lewis Central High School, said officials utilized student data and set “aggressive goals” to achieve a 92.41 percent graduation rate. The state average for 2013 was 89.7 percent.  READ MORE...
LCHS Student to Participate in Iowa Youth Institute for World Food Prize

Student Abigail Brickley, sophomore, has prepared a research paper for the Iowa Youth Institute World Food Prize Program. She will head to Iowa State University to share what she has learned in her research on the country of Tanzania.  READ MORE...
