Posted March 30, 2026
The Lewis Central Booster Club marked a historic milestone during its annual auction on Saturday, March 28. For the first time in the organization’s history, the Club presented formal awards to recognize the individuals whose dedication and generosity leave a lasting mark on the Lewis Central district and its student-athletes.
Titan Legacy Impact Award

The Booster Club presented the inaugural Titan Legacy Impact Award to Dr. John and Jean Marshall. Their transformative $700,000 donation to the Lewis Central Athletic Building is a monumental investment in the future of the district's programs.
This contribution funds an essential expansion to the athletic building, featuring upgraded locker rooms, a new trainer room, and modernized coaches’ offices. The project also includes a multi-use turf area capable of housing seven full wrestling mats during the season, alongside a year-round dedicated wrestling space with two permanent mats. Construction is scheduled to break ground on April 6, 2026, with an estimated completion date of October 30, 2026. The Marshalls’ legacy will benefit Titan athletes for generations to come!
Titan Volunteer of the Year

The Booster Club named Bernie Heller as the Titan Volunteer of the Year. A fixture of the Lewis Central community, Bernie has volunteered his time and talents for over 40 years.
Whether he is announcing a game, operating the scoreboard, or meticulously tracking stats for the football and baseball programs, Bernie’s four decades of unwavering service have made him a pillar of the district’s athletic success.
Coach of the Year

High school teacher and cross-country coach Taylor May received the Coach of the Year award. The Booster Club selected Coach May for this honor due to his outstanding collaboration and consistent support of the Club's mission. He has proven to be a vital partner in bridging the gap between athletic programs and the Booster Club’s initiatives, ensuring that our support reaches the students effectively and strengthens the entire athletic department.
The Lewis Central Community School District and the Booster Club extends its deepest gratitude to these honorees and to everyone who attended the annual auction. It is through these strong partnerships that the Club is able to continue its mission of supporting excellence in Titan athletics.
Congratulations to all of the 2026 winners!
