During the recent Lewis Central School Board meeting, held on June 30, 2025, the board conducted important discussions and made key decisions to support the district’s ongoing growth and improvement. Below is a detailed summary to keep our community informed.
Facility Tour
Prior to the meeting, the Board of Directors toured district facilities from 4:00 to 4:50 p.m. Attending board members included Mrs. McDaniel, Mrs. Scheffel, Mr. Sorensen, Mr. Sturm, and Mr. Wright.

The board approved the consent agenda, which included:

Discussion & Approvals
LCHS 2026 Mechanical Upgrade Design Proposal
The board reviewed a proposal from Morrissey Engineering for the design, bid documents, and administration of the 2026 mechanical upgrade at Lewis Central High School, totaling $57,200.
- Board Approval: Unanimously
Concrete Change Order – LCHS and Titan Hill
A change order for additional concrete work at Titan Hill and Lewis Central High School was presented, totaling $99,406.99
- Board Approval: Approved 6-1
Middle School Renovation Architectural Services
The board reviewed the architectural services agreement from BCDM for Middle School renovations.
- Board Approval: Unanimously
LCHS Marquee and Entrance Sign Replacement
Two bids were reviewed for the replacement of the high school marquee and entrance sign, which has not functioned for two years. The board approved a bid from Sandau Signs for $59,953.60 to replace the video board and sign.
