School Board Director Positions Open for Election

Four school board of director positions at Lewis Central Community School District will be open for election during the upcoming November 4, 2025, election.
Who Can Run?
To be a candidate, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be a resident of the Lewis Central School District
- Be 18 years or older
How to Become a Candidate:
- File an affidavit of candidacy. The form is available here.
- Collect a minimum of 50 signatures from eligible voters residing within the Lewis Central School District. The form is available here.
Important Dates:
- Monday, Aug. 25: Candidate filing begins
- Thursday, Sept. 18 (by 5 p.m.): Candidate filing deadline (must be filed with the school board secretary)
- Tuesday, Sept. 23 (by 5 p.m.): Candidate withdrawal deadline (submit written request to school board secretary)
- Tuesday, Nov. 4: School election day (polls open 7 a.m.–8 p.m.)
