What We Will Learn
Reading
During November, we will read text sets about author Mo Willems and different communities.
Writing
We are writing memory stories about special places and will begin writing books inspired by our favorite authors.
math
Students will work on addition and subtraction, now within 20. We will focus on using efficient strategies like counting.
Science
Patterns in the sky continues to be our science focus, with a focus on night sky patterns. Be sure to look at the moon each night and discuss how it changes.
Phonics
Students will read and write words with short vowels and consonant digraphs sh, th, ch, wh, and ph. Be sure to use the home practice sheets and passages.
