Teacher's Note

What a joyful year it has been! We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with your child. This year, your kindergartener has grown in confidence, made wonderful friends, and discovered the love of learning. Your support at home made all the difference. As you head into summer, keep the magic alive through reading, play, and exploration together. Your child is amazing, and we are so proud of them!

What Are We Learning?

Literacy: We are working on asking and answering questions about books. We continue to work on being fluent with letters, letter sounds, heart words, and reading.

Math: We are working on finishing up Unit 8, which puts everything we have learned together. Students are working on addition and subtraction math facts up to 5.

UFLI: We are learning about the "magic e" or "bossy e" to describe the silent e. We are continuing to segement and blend words.

Writing: We are working on making our writing make sense by writing a story in order. We are also working on capitalization, spacing, using words we know, and punctuation.
