LCHS Dance Team Shines at State Qualifiers!

On October 24th, eight talented members of the LCHS Dance Team competed in Newton at the showcase event, which determined who would advance to the state solos competition. Each dancer delivered outstanding performances, earning Division 1 ratings — a testament to their dedication and excellence, as this rating reflects an average score above 80.

A special shoutout goes to Brooklyn, a junior on the team, who distinguished herself by scoring in the top 10 among all competitors. Thanks to her impressive performance, Brooklyn will have the exciting opportunity to compete again in December at the state competition!
Adding to the team’s list of accolades, the LCHS Dance Team was honored with the Distinguished Academic Award, one of only 16 teams across the state to receive this prestigious recognition. The award celebrates the team's exceptional academic achievement, with an impressive team average GPA of 3.91.
Congratulations to all the dancers for their hard work both on the dance floor and in the classroom! We are proud of your achievements and look forward to cheering Brooklyn on in December!
