Earlier this week, members of Leadership Council Bluffs Class 38 visited Titan Hill and Lewis Central High School to learn about the innovative work taking place across the Lewis Central Community School District.

The visit began at Titan Hill, where participants toured our new playgrounds and stepped into classrooms to see learning in action. In a second-grade classroom, guests observed an interactive read-aloud as part of a genre study. In a third-grade classroom, students shared the different and creative strategies they each used to solve the same math problem, highlighting strong critical-thinking skills and student-led learning.

The group then traveled to Lewis Central High School, where they explored our welding lab, learned more about the wide range of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs available to students, and toured our state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center. Each stop showcased how Lewis Central provides hands-on learning opportunities and prepares students with skills that extend beyond the classroom.

We appreciate Leadership Council Bluffs Class 38 taking the time to learn more about Lewis Central and the positive impact our schools have on students and the greater community. Their visit and continued interest in education help strengthen connections between our district and the community we proudly serve.
