Lewis Central Request for Proposals to Lease Farm Property

Lewis Central Community School District (the “District”) is requesting proposals from those persons interested in leasing all of the following farms located in Pottawattamie County, Iowa (approx.. 80 acres):
- Approximately 14.0 acres located CO BLUFFS LEWIS AGRI 17-74-43 BEG 249.7' S OF NW COR NW NW TH S1012.9 E1290' N320.6 NWLY ALONG R 889.73' W765.6, Pottawattamie County, Iowa
- 38 acres located CO BLUFFS LEWIS AGRI 17-74-43 SW NW EXC HWY, Pottawattamie County, Iowa.
- 29 acres located CO BLUFFS LEWIS AGRI 18-74-43 E1/2 NE LYING NE OF I-29, E MOSQUITO CRK & S E S OMAHA BRG RD, Pottawattamie County, Iowa.
All offers to lease must be made using the lease form provided by the District. The District reserves the right to request additional information for the evaluation of the bids received. The District reserves the right to reject any or all offers and to waive irregularities in any offer and to enter into an agreement, with or without modification, as shall be deemed to be in the best interests of the District.
The successful bidder will enter into a lease agreement with the District on the terms provided on the bidder’s bid form and other terms supplied or negotiated by the District.
Prospective bidders may view the property prior to submitting a bid by arrangement with Superintendent Brent Hoesing at (712) 366-8248. Viewing may be scheduled between September 21, 2026 and October 9, 2026 during normal business hours. Each offer must be enclosed and sealed in an envelope plainly marked with the words: “OFFER TO LEASE REAL ESTATE.” Offers must be received by Superintendent Brent Hoesing at the District Administration Center at 4121 Harry Langdon Blvd., Council Bluffs, IA 51503, before 12:00 p.m. on October 14, 2026.
No offeror may withdraw their offer after the scheduled time for receipt of offers. The District reserves the right to request additional information for the evaluation of the offers received. The District reserves the right to reject any or all offers and to waive irregularities in any offer and to enter into an agreement, with or without modification, as shall be deemed to be in the best interests of the District.
