Good morning, Titan Nation!
We are incredibly excited to welcome our students, families, and staff back for another great school year at Lewis Central!
Throughout the summer, our buildings have been busy with facility projects designed to improve safety and security while creating more modern, welcoming, and inspiring educational environments. A tremendous amount of planning and work went into these improvements, and we are excited for everyone to see and experience the changes. We hope our students, families, and staff enjoy these updated spaces and take pride in the continued investment being made throughout our district.
While our buildings may look a little different, our purpose remains the same: providing every student with a safe, supportive environment where they can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. As adults, we succeed only when our students succeed, and reaching that goal requires the support of our entire community. Parents and families, we want you to be involved—please feel free to reach out, visit our schools, volunteer, and partner with us throughout the year.
As we begin the school year, we do ask for a little patience and grace during the first few days. Many of our families drive their children to school during the opening week, pick-up and drop-off plans change, and new students continue to enroll. The changes to some of our buildings and traffic patterns may also require a little time for everyone to adjust. No matter how much we prepare, the first few days always seem to throw us a few curveballs. I can promise that, before long, we will be back to operating like a well-oiled machine!
We are excited to have our classrooms and hallways filled with students again. We cannot wait to see them learn, grow, build relationships, and make a positive difference in our schools and community.
